Sadie & Riley Traded a Truck

These two pups are dogs of a feather 

That flock together

 

They’re daily walkers for sure

Saying hello and “bon jours”

Rarely a ruff, while strutting their stuff

 

Four paws or four wheels

They love both with zeal.

And driving one day,

Dog pack in the back

 

Riley the wiley said “what’s that creek and that crack?”

And Sadie said simply… “time for new truck!”

 

To Orleans Toyota they went

The pups were intent.

 

“It’s this one, it’s this one, it’s this one…we want!”

And so they got in and went for a jaunt.

 

That ride with the glide, was smooth as peanut butter

In this new truck…they were all a flutter.

 

It took only a mile, and two dogs’ smile

The humans so smitten 

And thus it was written.

 

The old truck was traded…

Easy and breezy, driving away as sunset faded.

 

So it is, Sadie & Riley are the Dogs of the Month

“Sweetie PD” Picked a Prius

Petey’s an entertainer

With a stage name none plainer 

With dash and a smile

He can run a mile

 

Every day on that bay

Fetching a ball going splash

With a zip and a dash.

 

Walk on water he does not…

But its certainly a thought,

With the smiling face of another

And love like no other

 

But trekking around 

In that old car with the sound

He said to mom & pops

“We need a car with chops”

 

And to Orleans Toyota they went

With a sniff and a scent 

They found the Prius

Just for three of us

 

Away they were gone 

With the radio on

Playing Mack the Knife…

It’s definitely a dogs life

And so it is, Sweetie PD is our dog of the month

Kai Rocked a RAV

In Hawaiian, Kai means “wave”

Water, pizza, carrots are his fave

A smart one he is

He could even pass a quiz

 

Say ‘squirrel’…he runs to the window 

Say ‘hug’…his paws wrap you like a rug

 

While drivin’ to the beach for low tide…

He said “Mama, we need a new ride”

 

To Orleans Toyota they drove 

He sniffed, barked, and wove

 

Red rover red rover

Send that red RAV over!

 

And They drove away that day

With windows rolled down 

And smiles all around 

 

So it is, Kai is our Dog of the Month

Zinnie Took a Tacoma

Zinnie’s a swimmer

Every day in the Bay

With a shake and a shimmer

She’s ready to play

Walkin’ with her Mama

She’s a Prima Donna 

Running after that ball

She could splash ‘til nightfall.

With head out the window…enjoying the air

She said, Mama, we need a truck with some flare!

To Orleans Toyota they went

For 4Runners and trucks…Zinnie got the scent.

They tested this, they tested that.

Windows down everywhere

Spring wind blowing through her hair.

This one, this one, this one… I love 

With my head out the window, I’ll fly like a dove!

A pickup they picked… it fit like a glove.

 

Brodie Bought a Camry

He’s a dog for sure, protecting his home on shore

From Ospreys, eagles and hawks on high…

Yet he purrs like a cat, pouncing like that.

Perhaps his Scottish Cream is just a dream?

But as he tunnels through ground

Is he a gopher or truly a hound?

Ahh… every day he awaits his morning toast

To confirm he’s a dog at most.

As the bread got low, 

He said, “to the store we go”

When shopping was done…he said,

Let’s stop by Orleans Toyota, and have some fun!

Shiny and new, his eyes grew big

“Momma, momma…this one I dig!”

When he jumped inside, it became his ride.

And home they drove with that smile so wide!

So it is, Brodie is our Dog of the Month

 

Maggie Scored a RAV

Maggie was a pup found on Craigslist
When her Mom saw her…She couldn’t resist
And home she went
with love…and an elephant

Off to work she’d go with her mom in tow
Then home at night, with a woodstove to light

While watching those Patriots win one day
She thought…hey sports fans
My name could be Maggie Maye
I don’t get sacked…but I’ll need an endorsement contract

To Orleans Toyota they raced
And discovered a familiar face
This Red RAV4 in ruby pearl…
Let’s take it for a whirl

Maggie said “this’ll do
I’ll be riding with my crew”
That’s what they got…yup, it was hot

And so it is Maggie is our dog of the month

Tommy & Chewy Chose a RAV

This Dog Duo are the doormen at Annie’s Book Store
Chewbacca’s the full name and smiling’s his game.
Tommy’s the player, but not from ‘Who’ fame.

Between wagging and greeting, they had a feeling…
Let’s go, let’s go
To Orleans Toyota with mothers in tow.

It’s a RAV no doubt, they said with a shout.
Chewy said let’s spin it like a bandit!
Tommy said, zero to sixty in lickity split…
But, can dogs drive it?

A fish tale of sort, you purport?
Well perhaps this salty dog day…
That’s the one that got away!

Archie Picked a Pickup

Archie is new…a rescue
Filling a void in two hearts
A bit nervous at first,
He ran away with a burst.

Crossing wood and sand
With sightings four miles across land
And after two days being alone…
He returned to the door of his new home.

As he (and we) wander that boulevard
Peace & Love find us in right in our backyard.

And now to the season…
Archie says, that pickup sure would be pleasin’

Finley Took a Tacoma

Finley’s a birder we know
Looking everywhere she goes
There’s also a shimmer when she’s a swimmer.
But one day she said
Let’s go places never tread
In a truck, in a truck with a great big bed!
Where I can bask in the sun
With windows rolled down seeing everything around.
Momma, to Orleans we should head…
I’m thinking something red.
The Tacoma stood tall…not too big not too small.
Yes, yes, that’s the one!
And with keys in hand they drove to the sand
For swims and grins, by sea and by land.
And so it is, Finley is our dog of the month

 

 

Jack Kept a Camry

Jack’s a rescue it’s true

A wash-a-shore in name

But who rescued who?

 

Bunnies are his friends,

Playing hide & seek ‘til no end.

With his Mama at hand

He saw from afar, a car a car!

 

“It’s a little black like me,” he said with glee

Can we, can we…look at the Camry?

 

Jack black jumped in the back

With his mama in tow, now with a new glow

 

 

 

 

Cooper Found a 4Runner

Paddling in Ponds & wagging in the waves
Cooper said to Pappa & Momma,
It’s time to run further in the sand
So they took him by the hand
To Orleans Toyota
and sniffed the SUVS
Saying…
This one Please!

And so it was,
What Cooper does…
He got himself a 4Runner
To romp & roam a little further!

 

Teddy Took a Tundra

 

From Cape Cod’s flats to our Atlantic dunes
Teddy swims and zips and zooms
He said to his parents…it is quite apparent
That we need this new Truck to keep me cool.
His master said yes, his momma said sure.
To Orleans Toyota they went for a tour.
Tundra they said with a six foot bed.
And so it is…Teddy is our dog of the month.
