2021 Toyota RAV4: Agile and Powerful Performance

There are two engines available with the 2021 RAV4. This SUV will come standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that comes with three drive modes:

• SPORT
• ECO
• NORMAL

There’s also an available hybrid powertrain comprised of a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor. Together these combine to achieve 219 horsepower.

When properly equipped, the RAV4 has a maximum available towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds. The RAV4 also comes standard with automatic transmission fluid cooler to ensure your transmission is up to the task of towing serious loads. To fully utilize that available towing capacity, you could also get your SUV equipped with a tow hitch receiver and wiring harness.

This SUV is also efficient with an EPA-estimated 28 city and 35 highway MPG on the standard RAV4.¹ Hybrid models are also available to offer even higher fuel economy ratings. For instance, the LE Hybrid RAV4 can get up to an EPA-estimated 41 city and 38 highway MPG.¹
